Author: For a while now I have regretted not finishing my degree when I was at university. I studied for about one and a half years, but I never managed to complete the course. I didn’t have a problem with the level of work that I had to do, but I just think that I was too young to really commit to studying hard. At the time I was much more interested in partying with my friends and having a good time. That sort of behaviour soon took its toll though and I ended up being thrown out halfway through the second year.
At the time I accepted my fate and I got on with life and ended up with a half decent job which was enough to support myself. Ten years on however, and my girlfriend is pregnant. I have to start providing for a family now and the only way to do that is by earning more money. The chances of a raise with my current job were very slim, so I decided that it was about time I got my degree so I could find a better paid job with long term prospects.
I had a look online and I managed to find some great looking Distance Learning Courses that were being offered by a company called Kaplan. It looked like I would be able to study the same subject, and end up with the same qualification from home! With a degree in Finance I would be able to turn my life around and land a job that would really allow me to look after my new family in the way that I wanted.
